Atlantic Health System is looking for Respiratory Therapists to work at Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, Chilton Medical Center, Hackettstown Medical Center, and Newton Medical Center.
We are seeking candidates who are currently enrolled in a RT program and are pending graduation, or have already graduated from an RT program and still need to take the board exams in order to apply for state licensure.
**Please note that this job posting is for ALL Respiratory Therapy positions in AHS, and for full-time, part-time, and per diem. **
Essential Job Functions:
- The respiratory therapist (RRT) applies scientific knowledge and theory to practical clinical problems of respiratory care
- The respiratory therapist will assume primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities
- The respiratory therapist may be required to exercise considerable independent clinical judgment, under the supervision of a physician, in the treatment of patients with respiratory dysfunction
- Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
- Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
- Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
Required to start:
- Associate of Science degree from an accredited respiratory therapist program, required. Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
- Credentialed as a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), required.
- Active license for Respiratory Care Practitioner in New Jersey, required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. ACLS required within 6 months of employment.
