Occupational Therapy Job description
- Assess individual functional skills in Activities of Daily Living, Functional transfers, Functional mobility, and Cognitive abilities.
- Recommend appropriate discharge destination based on functional skills assessment.
- Knowledgeable about treating conditions resulting from variety of causes such as various neurological, Cardiac, pulmonary, orthopedic conditions along with accidents and falls.
- Ability to instruct Activities of Daily Living techniques to both patient, family and caregivers for skill and safety.
- Recommend equipment for individuals and suggest adaptation of that equipment to individual’s work-living environment.
- Collaborate and communicate with various health care professionals in order to effectively and successfully treat our clients.
- Supervision of Occupational Therapy Assistants and Mobility aides.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university is required
- License to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of New Jersey is required
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support is required
- Acute Care experience is preferred

Hackettstown Medical Center has been providing care to the community since 1973, primarily serving Warren, Sussex and Morris Counties in New Jersey.
