Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Patient Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient billing, inquiries, investigations, and adept at handling various billing concerns with precision and empathy.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of patient billing, including invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation.
- Respond promptly and professionally to patient inquiries regarding billing matters.
- Conduct thorough investigations into billing discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely billing processes.
- Provide support and guidance to patients regarding billing concerns and payment options.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in patient billing, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in billing software and databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in medical billing or related field.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
