- Procedure scheduling. Obtains and verify prescription information including Exam, CPT code, Diagnostic code, authorization and physician’s name and signature.
- Maintains open and cordial communication with physician offices to coordinate procedure scheduling and other tasks associated with the practice.
- Patient registration. Demonstrates excellent etiquette when handling phone calls, answering emails and greeting customers. Identifies patients utilizing two identifiers.
- Maintains a responsive and respectful relationship with all customers including the management team, Radiologists, Technologists, and Physician offices. Provides feedback and suggestions for improvement and seeks pro-active solutions to rectify areas of concern.
- Demonstrates Critical thinking and interpersonal skills to perform in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- General office duties. Maintains work area cleaned and organized to reflect a professional environment. Safeguards the integrity of equipment and patient private information. Maintains supply inventory.
- Assist technologists with preparing patients for procedures including moving and positioning to and from scanner.
- External Imaging uploading
- Able to properly identify emergency codes and how to contact emergency services.
- Maintains a pleasant and helpful attitude when training new team members. Objective in capturing the performance of orienteers.
- Performs other tasks and duties as required and assigned by superiors.
- Shift change is a possibility depending on departmental needs.
Required:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent experience
2. Prior administrative experience in a physician practice strongly preferred
3. Knowledge of computerized scheduling & EMR system a plus
Preferred:
1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
2. Individual must be customer and employee focused, must have demonstrated ability to multi-task
3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
