Responsible for ensuring successful academic and personal development of licensed practical nursing students through clinical instruction.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Provides clinical instruction at homecare sites
2. Creates a clinical environment which fosters clinicians’ academic growth and guides professional development.
3. Makes home consultative visits on high risk wound, ostomy, fistula patients for accurate assessment and treatment recommendations
4. Maintains accurate and timely attendance records, and evaluates student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
5. Implements evaluation devices of clinician learning and clinical experience to measure progress and competency.
6. Maintains professional qualifications through participation in continuing education programs, in-service training and academic courses.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
2. 2-3 years of experience in acute care or relevant area.
3. BSN, BLS, or ACLS required.
4. Wound Certification
Preferred:
1. Master’s degree in Nursing or related field.
2. Ostomy Certification
3. Homecare Experience
