Clinical Lab Assistant II, ACL Full Time
Primary location: Morristown,NJ
Schedule: Full-time

Shift: Monday to Friday, 2pm-10pm and minimum, every third weekend

Responsible for collecting specimens such as blood, tissue and urine and process the samples for the lab.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Accesses, labels, and processes laboratory specimens.
2. Loads specimens on lab analyzers and equipment.
3. Performs patient registrations and orders lab tests in computer.
4. Produces lab reports, sorts, and delivers.
5. Performs moderately complex clinical activities and/or leads patient care activities.
6. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, frequently in ambiguous situations.
7. Mentors and trains junior staff on technical skills.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
- High School Diploma/ GED equivalent
Preferred:
- Medical terminology experience
- Experience in performing healthcare patient registration
- Associate degree in Medical Technology, Biology or related field
- 3-5 years of experience as Lab Assistant or relevant area which includes experience of working in Laboratory, physician office or clinic
