- Responsible for collecting and maintaining provider credentials necessary to ensure i re-credentialing with all AHS facilities. Tracks and monitors expirables through online medical staff reporting. Enters specialized applicant information into a complex database to ensure continued participation on the appropriate medical staffs and maintain EPIC access.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Assists in the processing of departmental credentialing requests, preparation of reappointment packets for assigned area of responsibility, and tracking of reapplications sent, received, and processing time, in accordance with established procedures and time frames.
2. Reviews reapplications and follows-up on incomplete reapplications in accordance with defined policies and procedures and ensures timely and accurate entry of all application information in database.
3. Follows-up on missing data and/or discrepancies and validates responses to queries received and information entered in database to ensure timely and accurate entry of all applications.
4. Informs credentialing team of any potential problems identified during the verification process.
5. Documents interactions with clinical contacts and applicants and tracks reports to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of data entry documentation.
6. Assists in the editing, revising, and updating of the credentials verification policies and procedures.
7. Accurately enters data into specialized computer database system, in accordance with policies and procedures. - 8. Monitors and tracks expirables so that all are kept up to date
- 9. Creates and runs OPPE reports every six months to track provider quality and competency
- 10. Collecting annual evaluations and collaborating and supervisory agreements.
- 11. Attend and take departmental meeting minutes
- 12. Attend and assist on the quarterly staff meetings
- 13. All other duties as requested
Required:
1. High School Diploma required.
Preferred:
1. 3 years of experience in Healthcare, Credentialing Services or other relevant area.
