Scammers are contacting applicants via text messages and in some cases even via email representing Atlantic Health System. Many of these jobs are offered as “work from home” positions primarily in the Midwest. All correspondence with us comes from an internal employee with a valid @atlantichealth.org email address. Anyone who suspects they have been solicited in this scam should contact their local law enforcement agency.

Atlantic Health System is currently seeking an experienced and strategic professional able to establish collaborative relationships with system stakeholders to drive operational excellence for the orthopedic service line. The ideal candidate has demonstrated ability to execute strategies to enhance and grow new programs while improving the patient experience. The director will work in concert with the orthopedic medical director, ambulatory director and system leadership to set expectations for quality priorities and assess outcomes for the service line. Background in achieving financial and operational success is required, along with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the system, the candidate selected will:

  • Demonstrated experience in achieving successful financial and operational outcomes
  • Proven ability to expand Orthopedic service line points of access
  • Develop strategic plan for AHS Orthopedics
  • Enhance key Orthopedic service line programs across the system
  • lmplement approved strategies to grow or maintain Orthopedic inpatient and outpatient volume
  • Identify Orthopedic specialty gaps with Medical Director and create recruitment/succession plans as needed
  • Strengthen relationships with referring Primary Care physicians and specialists
  • Strengthen relationships with Orthopedic physicians across the system to support a network of coordinated patient care
  • Develop report card for service line
  • Achieve nationally recognized quality and safety metrics
  • Support all system areas in achieving team member, physician and patient satisfaction goals
  • Develop ambulatory orthopedic strategy
  • Experience in balancing community vs. employed physicians
  • Play a leadership role in Foundation efforts to raise alternative funds for Orthopedic service line based on strategic plan
  • Participate in the development of an integrated care delivery system and ensure compliance with chronic care, complex care and discharge planning processes
  • Awareness and development of initiatives to respond to payment reform that are in line with the system strategic and tactical goals
  • Develop the local, regional and national reputation of the orthopedic program at AHS (U.S. News and World Report, Consumer Report, Healthgrades, etc.)
  • Develop strong physician engagement and awareness with system goals
  • Work closely with other system leadership, ex: Ambulatory Care, Surgical Services and PT to achieve organizational goals
  • Align with Business Development regarding recruitment strategies
  • Explore new bundle models of care – CJR expansion
  • Explore value-based opportunities
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and discovery
Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in healthcare or business
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience
  • Healthcare management experience
  • Possesses oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, computer skills and ability to multi-task
  • Must have excellent customer service skill and the ability to follow-through
  • Demonstrated successful achievement of system goals, financial acumen and inter facility collaboration in support of AHS Strategy
