Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full Time Registrar for the Central Registration department at Rockaway Health Pavilion in Rockaway NJ location to work 10am-6pm with every other Saturday.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Register patients in a timely, efficient and professional manner, ensuring all patient information is accurate and up to date.
- Must be able to understand medical terminology and be able to correctly read and enter patient prescriptions.
- Adhere to patient privacy guidelines. Utilize professionalism, respect, integrity, dignity and excellence when registering patients.
- Check two patient identifiers.
- Determines and coordinates appropriate insurance coverage, determines eligibility with insurance carrier.
- Schedules outpatient appointments with Radiology, Breast Center and other departments.
Minimum Education:
- HS Diploma required
Minimum Experience:
- Must be able to read and write English, have experience and proficiency with computers, prior registration experience a plus.
- Must possess excellent customer service and verbal skills.
