Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Cardiovascular Ultrasound Tech for the Cardiac Services-Non Invasive Department at Chilton Medical Center. Require hours vary, including weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Performing comprehensive echocardiogram exams, following established IAC protocols to verify, plan, set up, perform and report appropriate echocardiogram examinations.
- Assisting with continuing quality assurance and performance improvement in the Echo Lab and cardiovascular services department.
- Completing clerical tasks associated with echo exams; completing and recording all testing information accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Providing excellent customer service to patients, family members, physicians, and other hospital personnel.
- Working cooperatively with other department members in scheduling of diagnostic procedures.
- Ensuring effective communication intra/inter departmentally and participating on committees and projects as requested.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
Minimum Experience:
- At least 3 years of Hospital based Echo Tech experience required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Transesophageal Echocardiograms required.
- Stress and Dobutamine Echocardiograms required.
- IAC Accreditation required.
License/Certification:
- Graduate from accredited CVT school.
- RCS, RCDS required.
- BLS Required.
