Essential Job Functions:

  • Supporting nursing personnel in providing direct patient care
  • Assisting patients with daily activities
  • Measuring and recording vital signs
  • Administering basic treatments
  • Helping to ensure a safe care environment
  • Continuous rounding throughout shift to ensure patient and family needs are met
  • Ensuring patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, rounding, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitude
  • Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families
  • Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job



  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required


  • BLS Preferred
  • CNA or nursing student with clinical experience preferred

Relevant Experience:

  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and have positive customer service skill


Essential Job Functions:

  • assisting patients with activities of daily living
  • obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights, assisting patients with mobility
  • transfer, discharges and ROM activities
  • performing post mortem care
  • measuring and recording I & O; performing EKG’s, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring
  • observing and reporting changes in patients’ condition to the RN
  • maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties as assigned


  • High School Diploma or GED required


  • Completion of Healthcare Provider Course within six months required.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the Care Center.
  • 6 months prior healthcare experience with patient care experience preferred.
  • BLS preferred; required within 3 months of hire.
  • CPCT preferred.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Responds to patients/ family’s needs in a courteous, positive and timely manner with confidence and compassion that reflect AHS PRIDE values.
  • Courteously and promptly answers multiple telephone calls, receiving and giving accurate and complete message to appropriate personnel according to hospital and departmental guidelines.
  • Presents information in an articulate, organized and coherent manner.
  • Review and enter physician orders and file appropriately in patient’s chart.
  • Calls attending physicians as directed by ED physician in a timely manner.


  • HS Diploma


  • Strong communication skills, strong knowledge of computers, ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to work evenings/ nights / weekends
  • Prior experience in an Emergency Room setting is preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills are required
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
