Morristown Medical Center is seeking a FT Nursing Coordinator for the Pediatric Hematology/ Oncology department.
Essential Job Functions:
Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.
Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills
The Nursing Coordinator’s role in the VC is 70% administrative and 30% clinical bedside nursing. The administrative duties include management of the day-to-day operations of the clinic such as TJC readiness, Magnet, staffing scheduling, nursing competencies, committee representation, nursing education, maintenance and development of policies and procedures, etc. The clinical bedside nursing component includes administration of chemotherapeutics, infusions, triage, post-procedural recovery, scheduling in-patient admissions and anesthesia cases, as well as insurance authorizations.
Valid New Jersey Nursing License Required
Pediatrics or APHON preferred
Related Experience :
A minimum of 3 years of Pediatrics, Hematology/ Oncology experience as a Registered Nurse.
